Decided to host a game jam for people like me with no experience. If anyone would like to participate, just click here. This is all for fun, so let's have a good one!

So I've been wanting to make a 2D metroid-vania that has gameplay similar to Hitman: Absolution, I've got the main character and first mission as well as a plan for the main menu. I had all that and realised that I have no clue how to actually code. I've messed about with block code, used an unofficial coding language (only used in one game, the engine is open source but it's a modding engine, plus it's optimised for the game it's used in), but I can't actually code. On top of that, I use a not so new ASUS laptop, so I can't use good programs like Unity or Unreal. Hell, I can barely run Friday Night Funkin without huge drops in FPS or long long loading screens. If anybody can help and teach me how to code, that'd be great.

EDIT/UPDATE: Decided to learn Haxe, seemed simple. Plus, being partway through the Dungeon Crawler tutorial, I can say it kinda is!

EDIT/UPDATE: Haxe stopped working, Godot time.
